Thanks for the compliment. Nice to see more Dio fans around. I gotta say it does always feel like I'm "The last in line" 😎

If you go in expecting EWR and/or SFO, you will most likely not be surprised or disappointed.

Enjoy class and wear your pin!

+1. There are tons of unfilled vacancies in EWR especially. That said, expecting another huge vacancy bid this month so you may be able to bid out quickly. Welcome and congratulations.

Hey guys,

Does UAL require a 4 year degree? I can't find it written anywhere.

Thanks

I know you are just asking a question, but this has been answered and discussed ad nauseam...not technically required--but

Less than 10% of the application pool has been called for an interview over the last few years and maybe 1% (probably less) of those people have not had at least a 4 year degree. Your chances of your app getting through the computer system are exponentially low without a degree.

A guy involved in the hiring process told me they have decided (for now) that they'd rather have a guy with less experience but 4 year degree when the pilot pool starts to dry up in the next 5 or so years.

You'll be much less frustrated just finishing your degree.

I asked my chief pilot (DC) this question, and he said, "Yes. It doesn't really matter from where, but you need a 4 year degree."
