My Barry Manilow chia pet just died. I'm too stressed to endure a section 6 negotiation. I'm checking my chestnuts at the door and voting yea.

The most profitable time in the history of aviation and you'll take a mediocre raise and run. If now's not the time to fight for a full contract, when is?

Never. Never is a time to go full section 6. Not if you can help it. And that's an indusry leading raise, double digits above Delta. You bet I'll take it.

Mediocrity defined. Watch Delta and American leap frog us for contracts to come while we anticipate what little nuggets HR pilot strategy will offer us next time.

I'm embarrassed to be a United pilot.

Gonna be hard for American to leapfrog us since they signed a 5 year deal earlier this year. Our rates surpass their's next month if we approve this TA. They have no profit sharing and no min 5 hrs per day. Dal could very well leapfrog us, but they have their work cut out for them. After this TA, our rates are double digit percentage above their's with similar work rules. And then there is the snap up.

Exactly, and I hope they do! 2 years and a bit from now, and likely shortly after Delta's contract, we (and AA perhaps) can use that leverage, plus the snap, and whatever else we have under those economic conditions to push the ball down the field some more.
