The example I gave above has been a persistent rumor. Specifically, flight Ops wanting to eliminate flying FO lines and require the captain to "appoint" the flying FO for each leg.
Aside from the seniority and past practice issues this would create, do you think it would be a "large" enough change to withdraw participation? Under the current agreement we can save ourselves. Under the TA we rely on the FAA to save us from a "large" change in operating practices, no? I want to like it, but ..... The issue of Bunky and FO having the same ID number isn't an FRMS issue. I have full confidence in Todd and the grievance committee that the'd get that fixed as a past practice. He has an excellent track record and has already won a System Board level grievance setting past practice as a standard. |

Pilots have had, and will continue to have, the ability to call fatigued on a flight.
Future system board grievances and the flown by award don't change that the TA removes ALPA's ability, as a whole, to rescind FRMS participation like we did last spring. My point with this example is that there are work rule changes that could significantly affect FRMS operation and the only relief is grievance. Not the language we currently enjoy and will lose with the TA. |

UA stock price is not a concern to me and personally I hope it drops.
UA stock has dropped on Oscars health, our poor service, poor employee relations, and mismanagement. I am ok for Wall Street to keep our stock price lower than our peers and instead pay us better and have labor peace. United also said that revenue from each seat flown a mile, a key measurement of airlines, fell more than anticipated in the fourth quarter. The unit revenue dropped by as much as 6.25 percent. |
Current earnings estimate for 2015 is eps 11.99, estimate for next year is down to eps 8.66.

Another 5% drop today. WOW. "If not now, when?" When indeed. Looks like we're timing this bad boy perfectly. Take the money and run!

Since when has the stock price ever factored into our compensation?? That's for the managerial crowd to worry about since its built into theirs. There is no equity for us. We didn't sacrifice anything, remember? Enough capitulation for capitulations sake.
