I was given a 1400 SC On my last day of reserve. The next day is an FDO followed by 2 RDOs. If I'm reading the contract properly, I'm released at 1500 on my last day. Does this mean I am on SC for an hour and then I'm off??

I saw that but to complete the assignment will put me into days off. I also noticed another reserve on his last day was given a 2000 SC assignment. I wonder what is going on that would drive the crew desk to assign SC's like that on the last day of reserve

Well they can fly you into your FDO, just cant start the trip on the FDO. So if on a short call at 1500, they could stick you on a 2 day. The 2000 SC on last day off is a weird one, even if the next day is FDO, they would only have an hour or so to assign a trip legally. I wonder if that person is released at 1500 as well (prior to his SC time) unless notified. Be interesting to know, I would be into picking up 2000 SC's if I knew I wasnt going to be used!

You are most definitely wrong. Long call is released at 1000 on the last day. SC at 1500 unless notified to complete the SC. read the aforementioned section of the contract. very clear.

It says notified to complete the assignment, I would say they can notify you the night before when assigning said SC. Did they do that?

Well that's a good question. The crewdesk said something like " you are released from your sc today and I'm giving you a 1400 SC tomorrow". I said that's my last day and the CD said something like "yeah, 1400 SC really doesn't make sense on your last day but I got you till 2400 so after the last flight you can call for release". So I guess they did notify me in a round about way.
