United at job fairs
So I know United will very likely be attending OBAP in Lombard, IL this August. I am just curious if anyone has heard if they are planning on being at the job fair during Oshkosh?
They were initially scheduled to attend Sun N Fun, but then dropped out.

Also have the people in the recruiting team thought that they might get candidates who are less likely to leave for another major if they sponsor individual job fairs. For example if United was the only airline at the job fair, you would not be as likely to have someone interested in Delta attending.
Just something that has crossed my mind as I read about people leaving one major for another as they get the call from the company they actually wanted to go to. A person would be more likely to attend a job fair with only one airline in attendance if that was their #1 choice, rather than taking the buckshot approach to get a fast pass for some airline they weren't fully interested in seeing. Granted there would still be some people making the change, but I think it would reduce the likelihood.

Right now AA is projected to hire 50-150 off the street folks this year (so when they are doing more off the street hiring you will see the shuffle increase). My bet is that within the next 3 years the big three will figure out a way to ask a candidate who they would like to work for/if they'd leave for another major and include that in the selection process (it'll be part of the thumbs up or down decision). With the hiring wave will come the opportunity for people to change job if they want to. Just my thought on how I see things changing.
