Voting yes, for ANYTHING, means they get bumped down the food change, for the rest of their 70 year careers. They will never vote yes voluntarily. EVER. |

Do you talk to any of these people? The biggest impediment to an FA contract is the FAs. Neither side will work together for a common goal. All Ive heard from both sides, for the last several years is, I'm happier working as two employee groups. I've even talked to new hire UAL side FAs have been sucked in and reeducated into CAL vs UA bs.
I don't blame the CAL F/A's because they'll get hosed on senority and in the same respect, I don't blame the UAL F/A's for not wanting to work under a rah rah start-up airline work-rules contract. OM can't find middle ground? It's his job........ |
Did anybody else notice in Permalink #38 in this thread, by the guy that goes by a boat name trying to disrespect a former members wife. He disrespects the boat, United Airlines, the pilots of United Airlines and all APC members. Earns the tool of the day award.

No, he was just disrespectfull to Staller, and the poor woman that at some point thought Staller was worth marrying.

Disagree, in every aviation community I've been involved family members are off-limits. If that's the way you two think and treat other employees and their families maybe you should stop posting all together - sorry, you can't defend this unless being just as guilty. I don't know if it's misogyny but it's pretty close - do you have a hard time dealing with the ladies at work?

For those who only fly with subU F/A's....a little reality check. Married to a 30 year subCO F/A.
She makes more per hour, has more productive work rules, (which includes the option of working as little as 1 trip per month), and hasn't been on reserve since 1986. We both find the sentiment that Continental F/As are some sort of lesser partner laughable. Here's to an industry leading combined contract; splitting the F/A's by tail number, six years in, is ridiculous. Sent from my iPad |

BTW - the lesser partner comment - I have not heard from UAL F/A's. |
Some of the sentiment is right here in this tread
"I don't blame the UAL F/A's for not wanting to work under a rah rah start-up airline work-rules contract." Start up airline? |
