What about a lot of the scabs on both the united side and the continental side back in the 80s when people took the ultimate short cut. No millennials there. Plus if you dont like the way we turned out why dont you take a look in the mirror. I assume your a baby boomer so its your generation that was responsible for raising us. I can almost positively say any millennial that is at United has worked his *** off and has made it despite the harshest economic downturn since the great depression. I agree he should get the degree. I did. But lay off the whole entitled millennial bit.

However, not getting a degree is an extremely high beta strategy. There is value in having options ...

Everyone thinking about getting away without a degree better google "Option Value" or "Black Scholes" and try to apply that concept to your career choices... oh, wait - maybe that is too academic.
Maybe you will be the ONE to buck the trend - come back in a decade and let us know how that works out for ya.

Not sure what you mean. I thought my post was clear - I am very much advocating to get a degree.

I have my degree(s)... as in multiple. And in something that could be useful down the line.

Hello,

Can anybody guide me with the following answer. Do the professional recomendations on the ademdum for airline apps have to be from a United Employee or can the be from someone in your former company?

Any help is welcomed.

They can be from anyone, however from a current united pilot is worth more points from what ive been told. I have also been told you max out of internal recommendations at 10. Hope that helps.

So basically a good amount of AA's future pilot group is going to consist of pilots that chose the path of least resistance?

That appears to be how they are planning it, yes.
