I wouldn't be surprised that when the pool is drained, we get something less than 50%. If it's an option, I might seriously consider AA or Delta in the meantime.

Second day Veteran Event guy here. I was given a CJO in March and just missed the last training class in May....swam in the pool as long as I could stand it...then accepted a job with Delta. I highly doubt there are many left in the hiring pool. Ironically, I received an email yesterday from United telling me to expect a late Nov training class.....sorry United, like many others in the pool, I have moved on to a company that gives me more confidence they know how to plan for the future...best of luck to all of you.
Wish you the best. Doesn’t matter where you are though, it’s going to be a bumpy ride so strap in! |

Prior Enlisted? Why didn't you say so at the top of the stack. I'm prior Enlisted myself and know of several UAL Pilots who were prior enlisted.
United hires prior enlisted. It's been a great ride for me; Honorably Discharged USMC 1973 - E4 Corporal. Now I'm months away from retirement at UAL after nearly 32 years. Not bad for a former Marine Corporal Eh! Semper Fi! This gives me hope, got out in ‘13 as an E-6, Ranger School grad. Not sure if that checks the “leadership” box or means much to the recruiting team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

With hiring about to kick back in...I wonder if anyone from Day 1 will get that hard look like they said we would. To be continued...

Remember that BK was prior enlisted as well, so I believe it will definitely "mean something."
Good to know! I’ve always kicked myself for not doing college and ROTC, from cruising the forums most mil guys seem to have flight experience. Glad us grunts are appreciated too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Prior Marine enlisted grunt and current enlisted Air National Guard. At United now. They do hire the ones that worked for a living!!
