For the day 1 and day 2 guys who got the call, Congrats!

How far out was your availability date from when you received the Hogan?

Trying to gauge the range they are calling. Day 1 guy here, I had 25 months to my availability when I got the day 1 invite for the military event, money well spent...23 months to go!!!!!!

Day 1 guy here with 13 months to go!!!!

Probably should not expect to get a Hogan invite until inside 6 months if you remain current and competitive. There have been a few that have been given a "email us when you are 6 months out" but not very many from what I have seen on this forum.

I still do not have the "100 hours in something more complex than a 172" so I am expecting to spend time at a regional first.

Good luck. Glad to see I wasn't the only one that was invited for Day 1 with 18+ months prior to retirement.

Good luck too, currency/type is not an issue for me right now. I did not know the "email us when you are 6 months out" was a thing. Wow! Anybody out there with one of those 6 months out emails, who would not mind stating times/qual?

I am 3800 total, 3700 ME turbine, 2600 PIC, IP, EP, All Mil time, Gradute degree

Lots of big ticket items checked. Aka - chief pilot, director of ops, director of safety etc. By chance did you transition a community from one platform to another?

Edited to add : Congrats. This is the background that I would expect UAL or any other major to reach way out to recruit.

Thanks! Soft transition from C-130 Legacy to C-130J (was part of the initial active duty C-130J cadre which may have been another checked item...).

Velo,

Congrats and thanks for the great info. I am too young (on Year 9 of 10 yr pilot commitment) to check any of the DO, SQ/CC, Deputy OG, Chief OGV, Chief of Safety boxes. I will have to up my game in the volunteer lanes.

Congrats again!

Thanks Yuko! Don't go insane volunteering...just have one or two good ones that show you are more than just work...
