Thanks BAe for the encouraging words. I hope you are right. I tend to be that guy willing to go the extra 20 miles and then end up looking back to see I was a bit too overzealous. I think I'll just take your advice and get the valuable 121 training/experience/flight hours and hope for a quick call up.

I was offered day 2. I was answering the previous question that I have also attended WAI/OBAP in the past and meet 1 on 1 with the recruiters, but no interview invite came from it.

I have had the same results at other events, but the difference here is they, United, have looked at our apps and resumes and, they invited us to talk to them one on one at Day 2 this time. At WAI or OBAP, you chose their Fast Pass, so it was more of a cold call.

Ah ok. Yeah I've been to previous job fairs as well. I was wondering if that had any correlation/causation with getting a Day 1 invite vs Day 2. Apparently not. I just got the Day 1 offer.

Sounds stupid but are you sure you didn't mistype your email or something? I'd say it's either that or you either didn't meet some requirement or your application was incomplete in some way. Not sure though; everyone I know that applied got some sort of reply.
