Super honored to have been invited to the event and to have been a part of it. Met some great vets in the process. They said several times that there was a reason we were all there, and not everyone who wanted to go, was invited, hopefully everyone gets the hogan!

So, did they tell you guys to expect a Hogan out of this? Or is it just more points on your app as you try to climb to the top of the pile and be one of the lucky 30 per week? Was there a timeline given for when you should expect to hear something, either a Hogan or TBNT? Are they even going to send TBNTs? About how many people were there? Sorry for all the questions, I just thought there might be more info. Thanks!

I went to the Thurs AM session. No info was given about any of the questions you asked. Their canned response is that earliest a person could expect a Hogan invite is 6 months prior to their availability date IF they are in the top 30 of 11000 of an automated application screening. Recruiters did not say one way or another if the group session or 1v1 sessions would make a person more competitive by adding "points".

I asked if they were still sending out "We like you, please email us at your 6 month point to start the interview process" emails. No answer given.

It would be nice if any of the attendees would be willing to share if/when they get a Hogan invite.

1200 applied, by my estimate about 750 were invited in. I am not getting my hopes up but during my session (day 1 afternoon) they must have said very clearly about a million times "you were picked for a reason, United wants you, you meet and exceed qualifications."

That being said who really knows...

United only emails a TNBT after an unsuccessful interview.

Same story Thursday PM; no less than 40 times they reminded us that we were there for a reason. They talked a lot about the Hogan, and how you should update your application every 30 days.

Something like 12,500 Pilots at UAL and they need 11,100.

.

I can tell you that they were sending these as recently as August 2016...

For day 2, we were told 1100-1300 applied ~ 700 invited, ~ 300 for second day. They want us, and that we needed to shine in front of the recruiter. That was it. Don't know if we get moved to a smaller stack, or if they will send the hogan of anything. My guess is we will get graded and stacked and some of us will be lucky enough to get the thumbs up for the hogan.

What they did say is that they like this method and that we were the first group to try this on. We are supposed to get an email for feedback about the event. They mentioned that they want to get away from OBAP,WAI style events and move it to inhouse.

Just wondering if anyone has seen any real numbers from the DOD of how many military pilots they expect to lose in the next year or so?
Keep hearing there are less military pilots available, but yet it seems the majors are still hiring a lot of them.

This data is tracked at the service component level and not DoD. Typically this analysis is farmed out to RAND Corp.

Most recent study is USAF specific.
