Keep those receipts and don't forget to deduct it! You'll need all the deductions you can find now that your joining the civilian ranks.

Did any non-pilot vets have any luck from the event?

I'd love to know as well. I didn't fly in the military.

My buddy from the Thursday morning group was a USMC ground guy with me and got an invite 2 weeks ago for a Feb interview.

IF they got right on it.

I can tell you a few things from my experience, one being that there is no "if," they did get right on it. I was an afternoon Day 2 guy and got the Hogan invite the following Wednesday (the 16th), took it the following morning and had the interview invite in my inbox when I woke up Friday morning. There were available interviews 30 Nov, so I took one, and was offered the job last Tuesday.

I was one of the first few people from the SFO event to interview, we were all that same day. The interview experience was incredible, the people went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. After doing several interviews I feel like this is said about every airline, but it's most real in Denver.

As far as the SFO event goes, they were pumped on the event and excited to get more mil guys and gals in there. They're trying to make the process quicker and more streamlined to get us in there (what that means? They didn't expand). "We know how competitive the market is and we want to get you guys in here before anyone else snaps you up!"

Congratulations on the job offer Galaxy5. Thanks for sharing your experience. I know that makes me feel better, and was the overall feeling after the event. The further away you get from the event, the more doubt starts creeping in. That's why I keep telling myself to give it a year. I'm fortunate enough I'm not separating at a specified date, and can afford to wait a year or longer.
