Is anyone getting something specific about meeting with a recruiter? It sounds like they have only offered up 4 hour informational sessions (Thurs AM/PM and Fri AM). I'm not sure, but maybe only the 1-on-1s are Friday afternoon?

Semper Gumby and all.

Same here. Thursday PM with no mention of Friday. I think some of it might also have to do with availability since mine isn't until 1 July.

Same here only day 1 PM. I don't think I made the cut for day 2. I'm pretty sure day 1 required an invite for security reasons as well.

This is what my Friday email invite says. I can't speak for any other day, but it specifically mentions the one on one with the HR Recruiter. Hope this helps clear up some confusion.

Again...best of luck to everyone.

Does anyone have any idea what Day 1 really has to offer? I'm stationed in Okinawa, Japan and a round trip flight is muy expensive...plus add the hotel, taxi, and burning some critical terminal leave that could otherwise get me and the family back stateside before Christmas, etc.....

Just trying to decide if Day 1 is really worth the time and money. Does anybody know what is involved/included? Standing in long "roller coaster" line to speak to one of the recruiters? I'm a 1400 hour fighter guy with a job lined up with CommutAir beginning in January. So, if I'm gonna need the hours first before my app scores well enough for an interview, then perhaps I'm getting a bit ahead of myself running to an info fair for several grand. I know another opportunity to network for my dream job is worth a significant investment, but where is sanity line for what seems to be simply a veteran-only information fair? $10K, $5K, $3K?

Thoughts? Recommendations?

I got Thursday with absolutely no mention of meeting with a recruiter. Even says no need to bring a resume.

I think everyone is getting ahead of themselves. If this is run like the jetblue vets expo two days were needed for sheer amount of applicants. If you look at original adv for event it shows dates nov 10. Then has nov 10 & 11. In another spot. I personally think it's a typo. . It make no specific mention of extended interview on second day. I think that is just a perpetuated rumor. If an individual received an invite and says bring your logbook, resumes etc, and make sure you wear a suit in case we invite you back then I would retract this statement. It is probably going to be more of an informational event with hopefully a 10 min 1 on 1. I am happy to have received the invite and hopefully this should hold some weight on the application process See everyone there ,

If you're a day 1 guy only (like me), I'd find it hard to justify the cost and time. You won't meet one-on-one with a recruiter on Thurs; it's an info-only session with perhaps the opportunity to ask a question in front of the crowd.

To me the benefit of day 1, in addition to getting info straight from the source, is it demonstrates interest. Then if you're at WAI or OBAP next year you can mentioned you attended. The "every little bit helps" theory. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if they track attendance. That said, youre a low time guy who isn't expecting a call in the near future anyway...i can't imagine you're at a big disadvantage by not going to this one day.

For the guys who got TBNT to both days, did you have your app live and current in AirlineApps by 30 Sep?

Based on going back and reading original add and seeing some people received nov 11 invite. I withdraw my comments. I do believe it will hold some weight in future if you attended
