They are consistently making a lot more money than a 777 CA on reserve.

Just wait until those 747 FOs in SFO get bumped and most of them can hold 787 Captain in SFO as well. That bottom 787 Captain is going to hold the record for years being on reserve if he doesn't get displaced or bid off.
