Delta Snap-up / Pay Bands
Does anyone have the answer to these questions?
1) DAL doesn't pay 747/777 the same as 787/767-400 but we do. So how does that affect our pay bands? 2) DAL pays guppy (there I said it) pilots more than Airbus pilots. Are we going to unband those fleets now for pay? I can see guys bidding off Airbus to guppy for the pay raise. Does that make the Airbus the new guppy? It seems that to match their rates completely would be changing pay bands (maybe not for bidding purposes, but for pay) to match the rates. Based on the calculator I found online Guppy pilots get a raise, but DAL's Airbus pilots make the same as ours do, so does that mean our Airbii pilots don't get raises? Here are all their pay rates for the next 4 years by fleet etc. Delta TA Pro/Con |
Next contract is going to be similar to UPS but All fleets paid at A380 rates. No need to worry about what aircraft you fly.

For the purposes of this analysis and the adjustments, the increase calculations related to this Agreement are measured from the January 1, 2016 rates provided in the 2012 United Pilot Agreement. The Delta increase calculations are measured from rates in effect prior to ratification of a new Delta agreement. b. If the Delta percentage increase(s) in hourly rates of pay varies by equipment type, a weighted average increase will be calculated based on Delta’s most recent operating mainline fleet count filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission as of the date of signing of the new Delta agreement. http://ual.alpa.org/ContractExtensio.../Default.aspx/ |
If you're not going to read your own contract, at least read the summary of your contract that Delta provided you with on the link above. (hint: it's to your own contract summary).
Delta “Snap Up” provides additional potential pay rate increases if the average annual percentage pay increase of a new Delta agreement exceeds this TA |
I've heard it is a 4.4% increase.

From another forum. You can run the percentages below on any aircraft. If the ratification takes longer the 4.56% may be a month or two later.
Assuming Delta passes this TA in the next 2 months or so, you can expect, in my estimation, to bump up your current rate by the following percentages (but these numbers haven't been verified with the NC, etc). 1/1/17 - 3% + 4.56% snap-up for a total of 7.56% 1/1/18 - 2% + 1% snap-up for a total of 3% 1/1/19 - 0% + 4% snap-up for a total of 4% So a 12 year 737 Captain today is at $245.80 and will have the following rates over the next 3 years. 1/1/17 - $264.38 1/1/18 - $272.31 1/1/19 - $283.20 |
