If you set aside the candidates, and read the platform of each party it's clear that the Democrats are much more labor friendly. I'd argue that a fundamental tenant labor unions are to promote an environment that's pro-labor.

The R's platform and the orange fella (two distinctly different platforms), don't offer the same environment for labor to thrive. I'm referring to what's posted on the RNC and Orange Party websites, not the latest youtube post.

Take away the names, and read the platforms and I think it's clear why the union would promote the DNC platform over the others. They filled in a name because that's what's on the ballot (I hope!).

Hillary for America Labor Campaign Director Nikki Budzinski released the following statement today, urging the Obama Administration against moving forward with final approval of Norwegian Air International's entry into the U.S. airline market. Norwegian Air International has been criticized for unfair labor practices that threaten American jobs:

"Workers in the U.S. airline industry deserve rules of the road that support a strong workforce with high labor standards -- not attempts by airlines to flout labor standards and outsource good-paying jobs. That's why our Open Skies Agreement with Europe explicitly calls for the maintenance of high labor standards to guide the parties in its implementation. Hillary Clinton urges the Obama Administration against moving forward with final approval of Norwegian Air International's application. Too many questions have been raised about NAI's practices and plans."

The union is there to protect your job. Regardless of any of your other beliefs, they need all the tools they can get. It's not rocket surgery.
I don't give 2 $hits what the MEC thinks I should do with my vote. The fact that they think I've joined some kind of Borg collective and will vote according to their whims is insulting. These guys should stick to defending my contract and keep their politics to themselves. I won't give their political coercions an ounce of consideration.

This excursion into the personal political life of members will not be welcome by a large percentage of the membership. These guys have given themselves way too much credit. They serve me, not the other way around.

Obviously you don't get it. You trust that this will really be her position when push comes to shove? Our foreign competition will get what they want from her with their national treasuries or money from other sources. Pay to play, the Clinton way. Your PAC money won't stand a chance.

That's not the point. We could all vote Green Party; doesn't make a difference. What we want is support in the political arena for OUR goals, and pledging public backing helps, if she is elected. Our individual votes? Nobody knows, only Hill and Don care.

Ok, fair enough. That makes a great deal more sense.

What a stupid comment.

The ME3 governments have given the Clinton foundation MILLIONS.

She has been bought.

She will allow cabotage to appease her masters.

It's not that hard to figure out.

Hillary will protect jobs???
Even if that were remotely true, there comes a point when other issues take precedence. Issues of trust, moral compass, and the "big picture" in the long term view of this country... which ALSO affects jobs long term.

However I suppose if Hitler were reincarnated with a pro-labor slant, plenty would vote for him.
