From the other forum a brief comment emanating from a council citing that there might be disagreement between ALPA and the company on the Delta snap up formula. Same as it ever was.

Is this the additive versus compounding issue?

IE

Our 3% 1/17 contractual raise added to the DAL 4.42% for a total of 7.42%,

OR

Our 3% 1/17 contractual raise compounded on the DAL 4.42% for a total of 7.55%,

Delta's pay is retroactive to Jan 1, 2016. Our match goes into effect Feb 1, 2017. Damn.

68/32 right now.

Dear Fellow Pilots,

This morning we voted by a margin of 82%, strongly ratifying Contract 2015, a record in Delta contract history.

Looks like the 80% number I quoted wasn't too far off. Score one for APC.

And our extension has been in effect for around (forget specific start date) that whole time, w/ rates that already encompass the majority of their gains.

It will be interesting to see if other "snap" clauses are put into contracts going forward.

Just curious, anyone from Delta--did you get a snap up clause?

El10 12-06-2016 07:30 AM

Delta has a snap up clause, but it is very different than ours. There's only kicks in if the other employees get a raise. Then they look at ours and AAs 757 rate and then offset any differences in profit sharing payouts for the prior year.

This was in the old PWA but modified this time to include profit sharing.

January 30, actually. The first day of the February 2017 bid month.

That might be something worth grieving just for fun. :D

Right. The UAL snap up is WAY better than ours.
