It would seem that a productive first step would be for all US airlines (union and not) to put out a letter stating that if you work as a pilot for NAI, you will never be hired at a US major or regional carrier. I would hope no carrier would allow them to Jumpseat, but that should also be stated.

The letter should be distributed to every regional and flight school.

They are already planning on having the largest bases in the US for non-US based carriers. (Starting with FLL and NY)

Making hiring pilots from our country difficult to impossible should be one of our collective goals. We can take our own action without help from our worthless congress.

Just a thought.

I will personally treat any NAI pilot as a scab.

Curious: United stock is UP, over $70 and change, after NAI approval....

It was way up prior to the approval.

Today's bump probably has much more to do with the Mech TA.

And that in itself is disgusting to me and many United pilots.

You think they get it now? Finally?

Trump is anti union and believes that American wages are too high. He's all concerned about those A'mercan jobs. NAI is hiring pilots for US domiciles so...you get where i'm going with this right? Yes, we have to try but i'm not holding my breath on this one.

Anti union? I have yet to see any news on this claim... can you give some examples?

Most of Trumps domestic projects were built by union members. trump has a well Ducumented history of putting union members to work and earning a living.

Do you consider the DAL leadership as anti-union because not all of the employee groups at DAL are unionized? From what I understand DAL keeps their non-union employees happy to keep them from unionizing... is that action considered anti-union by DAL leaders? If the hotel workers, DAL flight attendants, etc. don't vote to unionize that is their choice isn't it?

The way I see Trump and unions playing out is like fighting with your brother. Totally cool to get into a fist fight with your brother (US company vs US labor), but once some other kid tries to mess with your family (jobs going overseas), you forget about the last fight you had with him and let it be known you got his back. At least I hope this is how it plays out.
