Why do you rant about the obvious? Boeing would not make the airplane if it weren't for those who were convinced it was worth buying in spite of its flaws.

We just fly them, we didn't order them and if you don't want to fly them at UAL there are other fleets and seats to bid.

Telex 850 is what I use in the 737. No batteries, decent ANR, and feather light.
