I wouldn't read anything into an airplane model. That's just swag from Boeing to encourage them.

I bought a model at the IPA golf outing auction that was provided by UPS. This is where they got it. They're not cheap, but the one I have is very good.
You have to call them directly and prove you're an employee to buy one.
