Congrats Snooter, when did you first apply? I applied June 24 of this year and attended OBAP and have corresponded with the recruiter. It's difficult waiting... I guess can take years to get that coveted email.

I applied in May, interviewed in Sept, got the email a week later. Been swimming since. Thanks, I’m just really hoping to hear something soon.

I applied in April, went to FAPA in May, and got an interview in June. I received the pool letter two weeks later. I've been swimming since. Fingers crossed...

Wow, that's great jbendp and Snooter.
A little depressing for me since it's been 4 months since I applied.

7,000+ TT
2,100 Jet PIC (all part 91)
3,400 Turbine PIC (91 and 135)
121, 135 and corporate experience.
4-year degree

But I do know it can take a while sometimes.
They advertised for pilots twice this month on bizjetjobs.com

I have an internal rec from my former 121 CP.

Still hopeful...

I have just passed the 3 month mark in the pool. What is the point at which you have to start realistically thinking that you will probably not get the call? Unless of course you make some change to your current situation that makes UPS think you are a more qualified candidate.

I don't know the longest time someone has spent in the pool. Obviously swimming for a bit is the norm.

I would continue on as if you will not be hired. Don't waste away a year waiting for something that may never happen. It seems to me that if UPS doesn't offer a job immediately it means they are hoping to find someone they think is better.

I don't like the way UPS runs the pool but then that is their choice

Best of luck, I know its difficult.
