Nope. Best bet is to rent a car for the first little bit to see what the car situation is with the rest of your class. Usually works out where folks can carpool.

A buddy on property contacted me and told me to reapply when the new year rolls around. I'm not sure that is very accurate or something the pools should be doing, but I'm hesitant to contact UPS directly since the pool letter email said to not contact them except for updates to flight hours, ratings, etc.

You will need to re submit your application. Most of it will auto fill from your previous app.

Everyone (pool, hired, hopeful hire, already applied in 2017/2016/2015) has to fill out a yearly application (2018). The January 3, 2017 class had to fill out a new application before reporting to class after they were already pulled out of the pool and assigned the 1/3 class date.
