I think the major difference right now is that you're more likely to get a call from UPS than FedEx. Unless you're one of those lucky ones that has a golden ticket at FedEx

If your children are school aged, your spouse can work during school hours driving Uber, doing grub hub, etc and basically make their own schedule to help contribute. If you have babies, consider bringing in another child into your home to watch while socializing your littles and making $20/$25 an hour, which is what people are charging. what I’m saying is, I truly believe being uncomfortable for a year, but sticking it out by being creative is worth it and will pay in dividends. That’s what our family did.

I know lots of folks who retired from military and didnt go back to work at all...its doable. U have time to look at ur budget and decide how to manage for 1 yr of less income. 20 yrs of mil wld assume significant savings, house refinance, extra flying, some do uber while sitting reserve, always a hustle out there for some extra cash. If all else fails I can put u in touch with a Nigerian prince who guarantees loads of cash if u help him out. 😉 Good luck with your decision...either way it will be the correct one...altho wont feel like it at times.
