Default The 4 year degree

So I'm looking for input from the pilot group and folks that have interviewed lately. Where are we on hiring, specifically in reference to the 4 year degree.

Met someone the other day that has 20k plus hours, meets all the "basic" requirements, but lacks the 4 year degree. Are there any current UPS pilots out there or guys that have interviewed (successfully) that did not have the bachelors degree?

I would like to know if this person has a shot at getting into an interview or on line without it.

Thanks in advance.

There have been a few in the last 4 years. maybe a handful out of the 600 hired since 2014. So it is possible but not very likely. Percentages are probably similar at the majors.

Yes. It is possible. He / she should be applying everywhere with 20k + hours regardless of bachelor degree status. If you don’t have your line in the water for sure one thing: You won’t catch any fish.

FWIW, I heard that everyone hired in this category had at least an associates degree or were close to finishing their 4 year.

Meanwhile there are folks with masters degrees, international time, and heavy experience not getting a call... but yeah, go ahead and try without any degree.

I got the call without a 4-year degree. I have been taking classes toward it however.

Was going to send more detail but cant send you a message.
For a few years, UPS was making mention of the all the new hires with Masters degrees.
Need an explanation for lack of 4 year degree. With online capability, guessing can't say "time" as only reason. Appears those hired without a 4 year degree do have some college or are working credibly towards a 4 year degree.

The one I know of, hired 2007, had check airman, sim instructor, and FAA designee status.
