Dec 3 Class
#64
I got exactly what I wanted, I live in S Florida. 4 from my class were awarded MIA, 2 of them will be commuting and didn’t want MIA. The class drop was: 8 SDF, 4 MIA, 3 ONT

Those that didn't want it could be there until about 9 months from now. They could get a bid on July for something else, but it doesn't mean that they get to go right away.

Most likely December 2020 unless they get early advanced. Effective date has been 6 months after bid closes last couple of system bids. Folks that started in NOV class got lucky, they only have to wait 6 months or so as they were able to bid for the one that just closed.

There is some additional fall-out from the vacancy. An ANC 747 FO slot opened up and Planning came to class today to offer it; in seniority order for those that were interested.
In the course of the discussion, we found out that our class of 15 757 FOs was actually overstaffed when it comes to training scheduling. We were told that if the 747 slot had not opened up they were going to offer to one of us to delay our training (after completing of BI) until the next class.
But now the training delay point is moot. Regardless, there was much enthusiasm and many volunteers for this rare training slot offering.
