Rejection Letter

Rejection Letter
Interviewed a couple months ago and got the rejection letter a couple days later. Is that it for me and UPS? Is there any chance of a second interview? UPS was always my first choice and I'm especially bummed because I thought the interview went really well. Just wanted to know if there was still a chance or if UPS isn't ever in the cards for my future.

Impossible to know on a case by case basis. That said I know 3 people who got a second chance after some time passed and all got hired. The last was the beginning of this year. So it’s possible, but not very likely and based on my friends, it may take years to get that second chance.

Having said that, I’ve also heard of people waiting several years for a second chance. There’s no telling, all you can do is keep trying.
Remember though that things change. Ups might be a great choice today but you never know about tomorrow. At one point United was my number one choice. I ended up at a cargo airline and today I’m glad I did but back then I wasn’t sure. So keep trying but also keep your eyes open for other opportunities. ..because you never know what the future holds.
In the end, all of those airline jobs are just that - jobs. Focus on your family, your health, your happiness and things WILL work out for you.
Wish you and everyone else who might’ve gotten the dreaded ‘Thanks but No Thanks’ letter the very best.

Sorry to hear about the rejection letter. ..but no, this is not ‘it’ for your ups aspirations. The shortest time I’ve heard of someone re-interviewing was about 9 months after the first rejection. This was more than 4 years ago and I don’t know the person but I remember him talking to his classmates about him being rejected less than a year prior. (The second interview was triggered by a new application the following year)
