I think the avg age of our retirees is around 62…we don’t stick around like the pax guys do….so you can usually triple the mandatory retirement numbers to get close to the real number.

Also curious about start dates. I was given Feb1 today, which is a Tuesday. But seems there is a Jan31 starting as well. Anyone guess on if that would
still hold as a Heavy class with past precedent?

I dont have a heavy background, for context.

Tribal knowledge serves that the mid-week starts are the light-twins, IIRC.

Years ago after sever training issues attributed to background HR began splitting the classes - Heavy/Light. That way they would be able to somewhat control who gets into what aircraft... must have worked out better because it has been the same ever since. Traditionally, (I don't know of any exceptions) the first class date of the week has been heavy and the second class date has been light. Monday/Tuesday; Tuesday/Wednesday; or whatever mix they choose due to holidays, training day scheduling lineup, or whatever else may be in the cards... that has held true as far as I know -- first class heavy, second class light. If you are coming from a smiley faced carrier off the 74 you are probably bound for an early start. If you are an RJ guy with no international experience typically you are headed for a light class. In between? Flip a coin.

Best wishes and congrats on the calls.

Default FJOs?

Anybody from Jan 4 class receive FJOs yet? Just trying to plan my two week notice. Still can't believe UPS is giving me a shot at this, super stoked.

Congrats! Got my FJO well within my 2 week timeframe. I think if you reach out to your former employer for PRIA paperwork it helps the process along. That’s usually the hold up
