New hires

FTv3 lives in his little mini bubble where he may be one of a fortunate few that has not been affected much by the UPS behavior. Good for him. But that is not the reality of the vast majority of his UPS colleagues. Even worse making generalizations that everything is not that bad, when morale is probably at an all time low.
Denied premiums - I’ve had a few, 1 et al grievance filed for MD thing. Little doubt I’ll see than money handed over down the road. Had a couple more for Charge of layover denied cuz l/o was in domicile - but that’s contractual. Got the hotel and got paid the per diem. Had another overturned after submitting an inquiry w/ supporting evidence. I can tell you a lot of guys aren’t filing grievances for denials and other contract violations.
I can also tell you a lot of guys aren’t filing ERs when things come up. Numerous committee chairs have repeatedly asked us to do that - we seem to know better though… 🙄. And guys complain on and on about all the new Tonia-isms yet flying as scheduled is apparently a bridge too difficult to cross (outsiders: that means taking pax airline positioning and depositioning tickets exactly as they are published in the bid packs iso choosing flights that work better for us). And as Boiler pointed out, we claim schedules and QOL and morale are at rock bottom but we prefer to work extra for the cash over attempting any sort of pushback…
To the point of “not that bad,” I maintain that position assuming that “that bad,” refers to this place being something to avoid entirely or leave if you’re already on property. As I have already stated: can’t say that until the TA comes out. You’re confusing “it’s not that bad,” as indirectly saying it’s good, come here. No sir, not what I’m trying to convey at all.

His pay wasn't screwed up. Incorrectly paid JA is easily fixed. He cant fix his because he made a side deal with scheduling and scheduling does not have that kind of authority. It went to QA and they said "nope".
He got what he deserved.

I think he learned a lesson the hard way and got screwed over by the company. As much as I’m not a fan of bros picking up JA’s during stalled negotiations, don’t think he deserved any of it. But I don’t feel sorry for him either…

I guess since they’re flying a few of our flights that we’re not doing since we we brought a handful of our jets home because of the MD, they’re probably using the UPS call sign on those flights too.

My purpose in posting was to warn the 3,000 B&G lurkers (and the 60+ names in the most recent JA library) that the company now appears to be committing wage theft during JA pickups. My name is not on the newest JA list, FWIW.
No need for anyone to feel sorry for me. I was intending to warn others that they may want to use caution regarding JA's, since their pay may be end up being less than the printed value of the trip.

There's a lot of fantasy going on in this thread that needs to be corrected. I'm the clown from the B&G thread. No side deal was made or requested. This was a straight pickup, with screenshots. The union filed the grievance quickly. If you have questions, you can message me. My email is on the IPA website.

Sincerely, what were you expecting? Regardless of our current status in Section Six I think the response would be the same either way.
