For the newcomers, the 75/76 in Louisville is divided into two seperate bid categories: domestic and international (labeled Z). Domestic guys transitioning to the Z go thru a relatively quick intl course & OE. The Z is a little more senior for newer FO's.

Z is international with some domestic flying with longer blocks....
Domestic is domestic with somewhat shorter blocks. There are some 10-12 day domestic trips, but not many. Lots of weekend layovers on Domestic side. A reserve domestic guy can though, go to Mexico and Canada as well as ANC.

The 14 years is a product of the times and past performance should not be considered a predictor of future returns (or however that goes). With such a long gap in hiring you can find similar horror stories on most fleets, like the gap Boiler points up in the bottom z guys. Fingers crossed for going forward
