Now that is some cool flying. I might get an ANC trip this summer. I've always wanted to head up to AK. I personally think you are flying some of the greatest planes ever made. Nothing like the sound of four radials all at takeoff power.

There is no comparison to flying in Alaska. If you can get a trip up I suggest hanging out at Lake Hood and watching float planes. On the other hand Jungle has nice pictures of float planes you can look at.

Thanks for the kind words, I've had the pleasure of being in the six for over a year now and its been an unforgettable experience. Leaving ANC on a 15c day we can pull up to 59.5 inches of manifold pressure, we make 747s sound quiet.

I think I need a cigarette! I could only imagine the sweet sound of 59.5 inches of MP.
