NICE PICS! So the -11 is like the WW2 Rolls Royce Merlin (Packard Merlin) powered aircraft, no engine power=no hydraulic power=flaps down? That's why you always see -51s, Spitfires, Hurricanes etc... with the flaps down on the ground in photos.

Usually you may only see the ailerons, slats and elevator droop. The flaps were extended for inspection.

Yes, a D300 with a Nikon 70-300mmVR lens. Taken from well outside the wire.
