The T-6 is probably pedaling as fast as he can!

Meanwhile, slow flight practice for the bug.

"the bug"
Never heard it called that.
Love those heritage flights though.

No disrespect meant, of course! The hornet is my absolute favorite modern fighter, bar none.

However, I've only ever seen it used in reference to the E/F model hornets, but that was with the term 'super bug'.

Also, I'll sign up for the marine corps on the spot if you can bring a B/D model to PHX for a little incentive ride...

No offense taken - I was serious - just never heard it called that.
Well...if they have called the E/F model the "BUG" then they must be referring to the RHINO BEETLE!

Default Respect for the Legend, Please!

USMC:

Please remember, the venerable F-4 Phantom was the "Rhino" back in Vietnam!

And yes, look at the flaps on the Bug--he can't go much slower. (I've never heard that nickname either, and that is funny!!)

Both jets may have rolled out of the same factory, but the "Super" guys need a different nickname for their jet!

How about Megasecoptera? It was the largest bug that ever lived--wingspan of 6 ft (but it lived 250 million years ago).

Bud Granley it is. A Canadian institution. Often seen performing with his son at airshows these days.

No I didn't know that. I knew that the 'Rhino' was a famous RF-4 squadron in the Marines.

I noticed those flaps too of course - and having flown with a F-4U I remember how slow I was going and that plane can go fast!

If that isn't bad enough - the RAG callsign is EXPERT
