Captains throttles and FEs throttles. The saying goes that when the FO is flying the FE allows him to borrow his throttles and the FE is allowed to borrow the Captain's throttles.

Heater Burner Can 300,000 BTUs. We have 3 airfoil heaters and 1 cabin heater.


R2800 Master Rod. I wear a size 11 for comparison.


R2800 Carb.

Which levers are you referring to?

You need them that big for leverage. The number 1 or number 4 engines are a long ways from the cockpit so those cables are hundreds of feet and have to make multiple twists and turns.
