Default 737 First Flight

At Renton when they finish a new 737 and it is ready to go to the airlines, the first thing is a high-speed taxi check of the brakes and spoilers.

The airplane is accelerated almost, but not quite, to take-off speed for the check.

The crew makes the final check before takeoff. All checklists complete?

Finally it is time for the First Flight of the brand-new Boeing 737. Away she goes in a roar of thunder into the Seattle skies.

If I were able to choose a model of aircraft to fly as an ATP, I would choose the 737, (my favorite aircraft hands down). Thank you for sharing these photos Cub, it gives reassurance to those of us waiting in line to fulfill our dreams, (so cheesy, but undeniably true).
