Default Cessna Experimental Aircraft Part 8

This is Part 8 of a series of threads on experimental prototypes from the Cessna history books. As far as I know these pictures are as of yet unpublished.

NOTE: I do not have ANY FURTHER DETAILS TO GIVE about these wonderful aircraft!

I don't know where you found all of these, but as an avid Cessna fan and someone that owes my career to some of those airplanes, this is REALLY neat! I had no idea that some of these airplanes ever existed. I find it interesting Cessna did not continue with some of them, particularly things like the turbine conversions that were later sold by other companies and have done fairly well. Thanks for sharing!

My pleasure. I thought people would get a kick out of these.

I know you said you don't have information about these, but maybe someone else can answer this... What is the single engine turbprop, T-tail airplane that appears to be a fairly recent prototype?

Default The Jet Trainer

Here is the info on the Jets:

Cessna 526 CitationJet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Unfortunately, they flew in 1993 and '94. Two built; no mention of what became of them.

One of them (JT or JP) was scrapped in the late 90s. The other one was partially dissembled, and kept in the warehouse across the street from the Cessna Mid-Continent facility in Wichita. It may still be there- but I was told it was scrapped (2008) although I am not 100% sure about that. Cessna has lots of junk over there and I never bothered to look. There's no real use for it either way: Cessna will not be making any more light attack trainers. Even the JPATS Texan II is having trouble getting new orders.
