It's an imposter!

It's an LSA Legend.

I agree! Too much Fancy Stuff on that Cub to be called a...CUB! Big motor, electric start, metal prop, disc brakes, wing tanks, my God, it probably has lights and GPS too!

I learned to fly in a 65hp J3 when I was 14, then later in life, when I was a Rich Airline Pilot (pre bankruptcy pay rates) I owned a real, original, 65hp 1946 J3 for awhile, loved it! Had to hand prop it of course and you never went anywhere fast, but you could land it in any farmer's field or dirt road or sandy beach. But a hurricane blew the hanger down on top of it in 2004. I miss it.

Real Cubs can still be had on Barnstormer's web site for $25-45K, a whole lot less than the $100K the Legend cost. I'm glad someone is still making them, (or a reasonable knock off) I just wish I could afford another one!

All of the above plus a pulse landing light system, position lights, and yes even a Garmin 696; however, when I fly it the Garmin goes into OFF mode and the only glass I use is the windscreen. These guys are an American Legend authorized dealer so they have all the options on this plane.

One of these days I'll get into an original J3.
