TEACHER ARRESTED AT JFK

A public school teacher was arrested today at John F. Kennedy International airport this morning as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a compass, a slide-rule, and a calculator. At a press conference just before noon today, Attorney General Eric Holder said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al Ge'bra movement. Although he did not identify the man, he confirmed the man has been charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction.

'Al Ge'bra is a problem for us,' the Attorney General said. 'They derive solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute values. They use secret code names like "X" and "Y," and refer to themselves as "unknowns." We have detrrmined that they belong to a common denominator of the Axis of the medieval Absyssa, with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philosopher Isosceles said, "There are three sides to every triangle."

The Attorney General went on to say "Teaching our children sentinent thought processes and equipping them to solve problems is dangerous, and puts our government at risk."
(Credit unknown, but awesome!)

Ever notice that news headlines only last for about two weeks?

When was the last time you heard about:

1. Ebola?
2. The battle for Kobani?
3. MH 17?
4. MH 370?
5. The Jordanian F-16 pilot, captured by ISIS?
6. The fighting in Ukraine?
7. Lots going on about the attacks in Paris, with million-man unity marches.....but what about the thousands slaughtered in Nigeria by like-minded foes?

All still ongoing/unresolved.

Just keep the masses distracted and pacified.
True.

Remember the old journalism adage: “Old news is no news”.

The time frame considered to be old (Headline) news has been reduced drastically due to the availably of real and near real-time information provided through all of the various electronic media sources.

F-35 Debut Hobbled by Flawed Software, Pentagon Tester Finds - Bloomberg

The F-35B flew 7.5 hours last year between “critical failures,” an improvement over the three-hour mark demonstrated in 2013, he said. The goal is 12 hours.
Whoa whoa whoa....7.5 hours?? The goal is 12 hours?? Now that is how you set the bar high!

That's one Isis mission with zero weapons delivered before a critical failure. What more do you want?

Sen McCain is going to continue to make the AF leadership look retarded this year on the A-10 retirement issue. It's actually fun to watch.

Default Airborne American Sniper

This one kept me on the edge of my seat. A-10s supporting a patrol, pinned-down in the mountains.

On the last pass, he sprays about 50 yards from the cameraman.

The "other end", but you can hear it in the guys voice. I believe the giving of initials over the radio is his OK for "danger close', isn't it?

Yes.

WWJSFD?
Since it has 1-2 seconds of cannon fire TOTAL, "someone" would have it drop MP3 players with James Taylor's "You've got a friend" and (ironically) War's "Why can't we be friends?" on it.
