Default Here's My Stats...

Finally joined the forum so I'll throw my info out there.

I'm sitting at 585 total time (250 of that in gliders).

Commercial in airplanes and gliders, as well as an instrument rating.

I know what you'll say, get my CFI. Got any connections for anything else?

Currently in college and looking for something this summer.

Hit up the aerial survey companies if you don't mind being on the road. Landcare, Air America, Northern States, Air Associates, Keystone, etc. I know the Picto vendors are already in the middle of their seasons but often need someone ready as a replacement. Otherwise find a drop zone or banner towing operation.

I agree, jump planes fly a bunch, not always the best planes and it's cap pay. But better than have to shell out your own money. Banner towing is also a good way....same thing crap planes with terrible pay. Az, Florida I know do alot of banner towing and skydiving. CA may have a few as well. Good luck.

Banner towing pay isn't terrible, don't listen to people who say that. Got paid $25 per hour, plus a $2 per hour bonus for not botching anything up. For a college kid, 27 bones an hour certainly isn't bad, especially considering you fly up to 7 hours a day... Haven't heard of a CFI/CFII getting that pay. The planes certainly are crap though

Plus, the no frills flying is great. Can't imagine a much better summer than what I had banner towing. Live at the shore, fly planes all day...
