But remember, you are flying for a DL connection carrier owned by DL... So yeah... That's where you are. No offense, but look at the optics.

If you want to be a DL pilot for your career beyond the regionals, only 9E has you with a guaranteed interview. Off the street, by all accounts, is a harder endeavor. Yes, that's a pun. There are positives and negatives to any regional, but it's a leg up to know there is a interview in hand. 1 in the hand, 2 in the bush.

I'm really glad they extended the SSP to FOs, however remember that CPZ guys hired after the flow was sunsetted have a guaranteed DL interview, too.

Did he just say growth? Did you mean a possible reduction in scheduled shrinkage?

You are equating the Gulfstream program to the abinitio programs at Lufthansa, Singapre, Emirates, etc? They aren't MCL yet but that's the kind of selection procedures and training they will go through.

The gulfstream program was a good way to get First Officers ready for the airline operation. Much better program than say....JET U.

That's arguable. From a numbers standpoint yes Gulfstream worked for many pilots but as previously mentioned several were involved in accidents and the last ~10 yrs all the regional accidents had one ex-gulfstream pilot.

Jet U only worked for about 50 pilots before the program shutdown and left many stranded without their money refunded.

True, but a 2 day interview vs a 1 day interview. Psych test difference. Honestly unsure of the difference in that metric.
