Man, you're all full of optimism, but really how many from 9E have gotten hired outside of the SSP? Paint it for what it is. These guys/gals just had their chances of getting hired by Delta significantly reduced. If they were trying to go elsewhere they've had quite a while to do so.

I know a new hire Delta FO that's been in jail too. What's your point? I'm talking about the value of an SSP for FOs. It will do nothing to stop attrition IMO.
Funny you stated something very interesting. He is a well known tool. Little does he know that many know he's a tool, so you're good.

Delta has taken FO's outside the ssp. I've seen a few off the top of my head come across the resignation list in the office and know of one just this past week.

And Cencal left here for a move up and out of the regionals. He's a good guy that I wouldnt call a troll by any means, nor one wishing ill will on the 9E folks.

If every FO thinks that the only shot at DL is through an SSP, that's Stockholm syndrome explained. Sure, it's more difficult, but it requires more effort. I'm trying myself and haven't had a shot yet, but it takes a clean slate, efforts in networking and doing everything possible to show you are DL material. Don't talk yourself out of a job, cause it's only guaranteed failure at that point.

Sorry for the spelling... I simply said for someone with PIC time already, bidding TOP 5 as FO WHILE STILL BEING PAID AS CAPTAIN and as such BACK LIVING IN BASE beats the hell out of BOTTOM RESERVE COMMUTING... Especially if you don't give a crap about this whole SSP dice roll.

There is no way pilots at the legacies will allow a widebody FO slot go to an MCL. Hell, I'm totally against that as a regional pilot. Delta pilots would even agree to staple Endeavor before they let that one go through.

I'm not saying this to be rude, but do you think at that point pilot feelings really matter, mainline or not? I don't know we would go straight European model anyways (newbies flying right seat in 737s or bigger). I'm sure the language or defacto implementation would make the MCL a regional solution. At least for a few years.

Cheers
