If you want to be at DL, 9E is the only place with that option beyond off the street.
I was talking with a guy the other day who had an offer from a mid-major, but was also interviewing at 9E. We were talking about long term, retirement type of stuff. He said he wanted to eventually be a DL guy. While I'm not sure if this FO interview applies to new hires like he would be, seems like having a guaranteed interview would be easier then hedging your bets off the street.

It's a risk/reward either way. By my rough math anyone on property would have DL interview in 2016 at the latest. 1 day interview, with 2 bites at the apple.

Sounds like a great deal..just in time for Xmas!

I'm sure that the other 11K OTS pilots with apps in at DL wish they were in your shoes. Some have been hearing nothing but crickets for over a yr, so the wait to 2016 with a guaranteed shot will hopefully be a little light at the end of the tunnel and make life a little better for those junior FO's sitting reserve in NYC.

Congrats..study for the SSP..and hope to see u guys in the right seat at DL.

Is this deal better or worse than what you had envisioned? I would like to have seen a higher yearly commitment but 180 is better than 144. I also wouldn't be surprised to see this number slowly increased. I have been skeptical of Endeavor being able to make in the past but if this works out I think this could turn it around. With 200's still on the table (meaning growth potential), a 30K bonus and a interview at Delta it is possible Endeavor could become the go to regional by spring.

With 68 monthly guaranteed interview spots, I agree, it looks like everyone will have interviewed sooner rather than later. Depending on how many people take up spots for their second chance it looks like the last person on the list will have had a chance to interview probably by the end of 2015 or early 2016 at the latest. Just the fact that Delta is willing to offer that amount of resources to interview 68 people a month tells me they are taking this seriously. This is good news for Endeavor, I'm optimistic for the future.

Could Delta be rushing through the list? Or is there a feeling like they want to create a pool of new hires to draw from, therefore controlling attrition?

Being that FO's previously were "out" of the interview (barring very high recs, as there are few), this is good news. Being a 1 day interview makes it the same as current CA's. Coupled to the fact that the current CA list is bottomed out, it's good news for FO's. If you want to be a DL, the opportunity is here. If you don't want to go to DL, it's the same ole stuff. But remember, you are flying for a DL connection carrier owned by DL... So yeah... That's where you are. No offense, but look at the optics.

If you want to be a DL pilot for your career beyond the regionals, only 9E has you with a guaranteed interview. Off the street, by all accounts, is a harder endeavor. Yes, that's a pun. There are positives and negatives to any regional, but it's a leg up to know there is a interview in hand. 1 in the hand, 2 in the bush.

Agree 100% This is an amazing opportunity for the current and future FOs at Endeavor. I truly believe the interview for many JR FOs will come sooner than later, remember most everyone thought it would take years and years for the SSP to run through the CA list, and in actuality the CA side is almost completely through and it took - what- a little over a year, I feel the FO interviews will be very much the same, sneaking up on guys very quick. Very happy for our well deserved FOs. Well hate to say to all those 7 year FOs whom left for lateral moves.. told ya.

While I agree with most of this, I still can't help feeling a little skeptical...
What's to stop delta from running through the list and canceling the ssp? On the flip side, if it is not successful the attrition will rise again as guys leave. For now, this is good news and wish everyone the best. This industry is changing daily and is going to be very dynamic...

Utilize your opportunity. Not much more you can do unless you have a few buddies who want to come here with a kick-back to you..... Just saying...
