But there are always opportunities for these people to ruin a good thing. We've lost arbitrations because of backstabbing pilots who were at best disingenuous and at worst straight up lying to arbitrators in exchange for nice management positions from the company.

The irony was they got kicked back to the line once the company won the arbitration.

The only check airman I remember named Pete was not one of their hatchet men. He is a super sharp guy who happens to find every error that is made. When I knew he was taking the plane i would go over every page in the log book to make sure everything was perfect, but he would still find errors people had made. Problem is he is very high strung in the plane and makes everyone very nervous. When you're new and reaching for an altitude change, as your hand moves up there by the heading he gets nervous that you are going to move the heading and he starts telling you "Altitude, Altitude, not heading, not heading". Can make you rather nervous.

They do have their hatchet guy, at least one. They are very skilled at flunking people they want to flunk. Before the checkride of death they will do things to make you nervous, they want you to know they are after you. They will swap out your FO and put in a St Louis guy who is pretty bad. They want you to feel alone and nervous. It doesn't matter to them if you make a mistake or not because they can just give you another checkride in a day or 2.

They are equal opportunity all the way. When a check airman ticks them off by doing something stupid like refusing to fly what he believes to be an unsafe plane, they will go after him just as much.

Lots of guys have posted about them, why do people keep asking these same questions? The only reason to go there would be if you absolutely not get hired at another airline and your driving record is so bad that you can't get hired at Uber or Dominos.

Spent under 2 years at GoJet and I'm now at a LCC. It's fine and certainly not career suicide. Show up, do your job, and use it as a stepping stone.

Here's an item to consider about GoJet.
Two days before arriving at my new hire class, I and the rest of class got a call from an HR person telling us that they (GoJet) had decided to NOT pay the sign-on bonus that we had been promised. For me, with previous 121 experience, that was to be $10,000. A few weeks later, Trans States Holdings (that owns GoJet) started giving Trans States a bonus - an unapologetic slap in our face. Now, GoJet is giving a new hire bonus again.
They will demand total honesty all the while lying to your face without blinking and expect you to just take it.
And this is only the beginning of the story...there is way more to tell about this little smear of the afterbirth of aviation that GoJet happens to be.

Pretty spot on....glad I got in and left early before anything "bad" happened.

Oh man I needed the laugh this morning. GoJeter upset about something TSA got that they didn't. Haha oh this is great.
