Not possible until after the current vacancy / displacement. So much is unknown right now. It closes Thursday so we should know more by next week.

ORD is going to be tough at first regardless. Like others said, really unknown now with new CAE base. The problem is EVERYTHING is a 2 leg commute except ORD and IAD so ALL of the commuters want them. Lots of former PHL & ORF folks from the previous American flying for the last decade are now commuters. Don't count on ORD right out of the gate.

As far as age, you could be middle to upper class. Broad class mixes. As young as 25 to as old as 63. It just depends what group you get into. They are starting a new class almost every 2 weeks, so within 2 months your age doesn't help you much anymore. You have 30-40 behind you already!!

It'll be a long time to hold ORD and even longer to get IAD, even as a reserve. It's a great choice to come to this place and 2 leg it into mx bases with horrible trip times. 12 month upgrade...! Into those same horrible cities. If you want a hub, go to a better company, easy as that. This place has become the new PDT and is making it impossible for people to commute to, unless they live in those smaller cities. Great for some, but if you want a hub, go to a better company.
