Default Relief Lines - July 2020

Looking at the FO awards I see a significant number of relief lines as compared to previous months.

Is this due to the prospect of additional flying added by United?

it’s due to the fact the half of the fo line holder list isn’t qualified. They are all captains now and won’t be doing fo training until some point next month. So they will all get a line, then get released with other initial they are qualified

that and those of us recent upgrades are still technically qualified as FO’s, so we don’t require any sims / etc. I got a relief line and am hoping they publish a large number of long call lines.

Unless there is a major change in the schedule, the vast majority will be LC lines. I'm currently sitting LC, and have not been used all month.

If that's the case, why didn't those Downgrade Captains bid Relief Lines off the initial bid instead of bidding Lines that they will never fly anyway in July? Now the rest of us who want to actually fly those lines have to wait until Relief bidding starts. Do your brothers and sisters a favor next time, will ya? Bid a Relief Line, you Unqualified Downgradables.

Just be grateful you aren’t furloughed already.

Woah.... maybe because the hard lines pays above minimum? They’re already getting a huge pay cut. I’m just glad I’m still employed. Could the situation be better? Of course, but I’m happy where I’m.

i don’t think any of the hard lines out there are over 75. Everything I have seen for the FO’s is at 75 hours
