That the company has already bought 4-5 700s. And that they already sent maintenance to go get training in it. Also, heard they are creating an FCM for the 700. Another rumor is we might be getting a DEN base. Also currently heard Union guys are negotiating pay rates for the 700.

I would be so psyched if even half of this were true.

What’s next on the hit parade? Is Scooter serious about only 4 ‘partners?’ If he is, I predict ZW beats G7. Skypest is ‘dug in like an Alabama tick’ by owning all the infrastructure from Denver west. Who wins between YX and YV? Bedford is smarter than JO but less ruthless and unethical. Too close to call. More carnage any way you slice it.

I wouldn't be surprised if AW attempts to lease/buy the airplanes OO is taking back from an undisclosed lessee who defaulted on payments.

Skypest likes to lease airplane as a source of revenue. Air wisconsin likes to own its planes. I bet they go for the purchase with a semi long term agreement to fly.

Heard in training that mid-March, there was a transfer of $250 million from Air Wisconsin to United. Then a week later they said they were adding the 700s to our certificate. At the very least the money transfer is not the action of a dying company.

I can also confirm that they are working on the MEL right now for the 700, along with probably other documents too. I would not be surprised if that money transfer was a sort of agreement to purchase some kind of aircraft from UAL or another regional, whether or not it's a 700 or 550 doesn't really matter to me though.

No one that would have access to that info would spread it. Someone pointed out that during the last recession Whiskey bailed out Airways, and that maybe that would happen again with United, then people ran with it.

Default Memories of rumors past...

I remember when I got hired in 2007 that there were rumors of CRJ-700 FCM/MEL documents all ready to go, from PP himself. MX guys were rumored to be going to training on bigger CRJ's, and being seen measuring the hangars for -700 clearance. The DEN pilots have *always* been wishing for a base there.

My favorite was when someone photoshopped a picture of a CRJ-900 in AA colors with "Operated by AWAC" photoshopped by the pax door. Very convincing.

I wish you guys the best. Hopefully 550's are in your future.

The company did send an email around May about the 700s. Also the I talked to the Director of Flight Training, he already has a quick study guide for the 700s. And said “Good things are coming”. I don’t know how to interpret that.

That was some fine photoshop work, as I recall. At around the same time they also circuited pictures around ORF of the alleged “new” publications associated with the -700. In all seriousness, I hope this finally becomes a reality. Best of luck to you guys!
