I’ve heard no rumors of a new base but anything is possible when we start flying the 700. Before anyone says “we aren’t going to fly 700s,” the company isn’t putting us through differences training just for the heck of it and there’s a reason why the new contract has a blended pay rate.

Good point. I try to forget they ever did that. Fool me once, but this time feels different to me. They’ve never spent butt loads of money putting the entire pilot group through sim training on a plane we don’t currently fly. The blended pay rate is also hard to ignore. We never had one in the past and the union was always adamant about not having one and now we suddenly have one. Why even bother wasting time negotiating back and forth on a blended pay rate if we’re only going to fly the 200?
