Don't judge. It could happen to YOU.
Are you a convicted felon or something? Can’t get hired anywhere else ? Or maybe just sticking around for the insurance, to have a major operation or something?
outside of that idk, good luck to you.

Exactly. There is absolutely zero reason to stay at a regional for 20 years by your own choosing.

I am not at a regional. Just a little compassionate.
Something you are not.
Have a nice life.

It’s not just that, it’s narcissism. They can’t fathom any other circumstance other than their own. And they have to come on here to justify that.

and generally speaking, I think they became conditioned to the lifestyle that they had. They didn't understand that they were better things out there. That slowly the big 3 got good again. As someone mentioned above, for the short while I was there, I too was told again and again and again how great this Aspen overnight was and how great flying the 146 was.

The Aspen overnight was probably so great because everything else they were doing was a bunch of Super 8s, Comfort Inns and Days Inn. Then actually staying in a decent hotel in a high income area was probably some grand experience that made them feel like a Delta pilot. I also got these experiences. Staying in a bunch of dumps off the interstate with hookers getting tossed to the parking lot and then once in a while, getting to stay at like a Marriott made you feel great. I remember thinking the Doubletree CAE was as good as it could get. Now at a legacy, a Doubletree anywhere is the worst layover.

There are so many variables. Wifey, divorce, cancer in the family, ready to retire anyways.
The ZW lifers haters are obviously FNGs that got hired in the unprecedented and ridiculous hiring in the last couple of years. I just hope safety is not compromised.
They have absolutely no idea on how this industry works. None.

I enjoyed flying with the senior pilots and none ever came across as being bitter and angry to me. Many told me they had to fly with many who were angry and bitter especially when the 146’s got parked. Those who stayed seemed content and stayed by choice.
Wishing anyone or any airline ill will is just childish and immature. Sure my time there was brief. But I liked flying there and if what happened didn’t happen, I would have loved to have stayed.

The 146 was a MAN’S airplane.

I have reached out to a few seniors that are still there. 5 of them told me they’re trying to get out. They’ve either applied and was told “Thanks but no thanks” or they’ve interviewed and didn’t get hired.
By now, I think they all know it’s just of matter of time before the doors close.

You hope Safety isn’t compromised? GMAFB
You were once a new guy too , somewhere. Everyone was . Was safety compromised when you were a FNG??You weren’t born flying a plane, you were trained at some point.
last checked , the guys with 1 year or less seniority go through the same check rides, line checks and recurrent as the guys with 30 years seniority.
