WOW. maybe if all the ass. chiefs would bid and fly what they could hold you'd have more right seat meat. It's my understanding that lca's can fly right seat but I bet the intent of the contract was not for them to fly as FO's on any type of perminent basis.

First off, to my knowledge LCA's are not bidding for FO trips. They may be forced to fly in the right seat, which is legal by the contract whether you like it or not, but as far as I know there hasn't been any bidding for right seat flying. And secondly, why would you expect the LCA's to resign their position based on something out of their control that is not a contract violation. I'm not sure how many other airlines out there do it, but there are at least a few that give every captain dual seat qualification, not just LCA's, so at least be happy we aren't in that position.

To my understanding there are multiple meetings this month between the company and union, so hopefully they can work out a TA, and announce a future for the company shortly. Whatever that future is, people here need to know so they can plan accordingly.
