Don't know of any others for the class. Im from appleton, but im in Daytona Beach now. Can't wait to get back north. Im going to call and talk to Sarah on Monday. When i was there for my interview, there were about 6 or 7 people for that class going on. Lets hope this midwest flying goes through.

The company came to the pilot group a little over 3 years ago looking for concessions which they said would lock in a 10-year contract flying with United as United Express. Later we lost the flying we all thought we had given concessions to guarantee. (I am hesitant to say "We" because the concessions were given just before I showed up.)

The AWAC ALPA grieved this and it is now in the hands of the arbitrator. It is binding and tough to say how it will go. The pilots feel as if they were lied to by management in order to coerce concessions.

That is the long and short of it. Maybe another AWAC dude can add something.

if you lose the grievance why do you think people will skip town to start on the bottom of another list if you still have one of "the better" contracts

No Midwest equals no growth for the forseeable future. No 'big grievance' victory means continued crap schedules and status quo pay. That will likely be the last straw for people on the fence after having family lives strained by commuting and not having any time at home.

Captains of all flavors will leave for greener pastures (frax, corporate, CAL/JBU/SWA/UPS/FDX/FNT/etc). A couple very junior FOs may make lateral moves to other regionals (stupid IMO) and a few senior FOs may leave for frax operators or corporate gigs, or maybe places like FNT or CAL that don't require PIC time. A few in either seat might quit aviation altogether.

Depending on what happens the next couple months, rapid attrition will be the loudest, most noticed vote of no confidence in the future of this company. That said, I remain optimistic...
