I understand that you want to defend your new employer so that you feel better about your decision to move on. Really, I do. But the two situations simply do not compare. That is all. People being flown into buildings with the world watching (followed by several major carriers declaring bankruptcy) is a bit more catastrophic than "my regional airline isn't making enough money this year".

Technically you're deflecting because you chose not to answer his question.
Alright, this got way too far away from the original point, it was stated that I work for a wo that should have stuck it to the man when economic times were tough, so I went back with a sarcastic counter that why didn't awac stick it to the man when the times were tough then. Each company signed their concessions for their reasons and during their own economic hardship.I wasn't comparing what time was harder on the airlines. Both had lasting effects. I wasn't two when 9/11 happened and I come from a aviation household, I remember those nights at the dinner table with my folks with my dad wondering what his future was gonna lay out for him.

Don't worry a big announcement is on it's way.
I am pointing out something that no one else here has, something that actually makes sense and would be worth discussing.

I'm not wondering why what's happening is happening, it makes sense. I am simply saying I wouldn't be surprised if we are whipsawed against PSA et al. in the future.

Oh yea, I also work here, so I actually have a reason for posting on here other than getting some sick satisfaction or validation out of watching AWAC squirm. There is pretty much only one reason people come on this forum, and that is to read/discuss information that might be of use to them in their pursuit of a legacy job. Once they get it, who cares what happens to a regional you never worked at.

Stick it to what man? The industry was literally failing after 9/11. There was no man to stick it to.. Was the industry failing when Pinnacle took concessions in 2013?

That's why there is no comparison. Sorry but your original point doesn't stick.

Ok you're not seeing my point, which wasn't a serious one. I simply said SARCASTICALLY if pinnacle was expected to hold out of a concession contract during their bankruptcy, then awac should have held out after 9/11. In fully aware of the state of the airline industry post 9/11. My original point was a joke.

The posts below don't sound at all like jokes. Instead of back-pedaling like a coward, maybe just be a man and own what you say. Learn from your mistake, and try not to sound stupid again.

Find where I had satisfaction out of watching AWAC squirm. Hell I feel bad whenever I see you guys/gals walking around PHL like zombies. Been there done that at Piedmont.

You won't be whipsawed by PSA don't worry.

All three of those were the joke. They both signed concessions. That's the whole point I was trying to make. That's it. But I get it, it's hard to see the context of words without hearing them coming from someone's mouth.

Pathetic excuse. Sorry but I think you're a joke. A simple "I guess I see your point" would have been fine. Time to grow a pair, kiddo.

Anyone who criticizes a pilot group who takes concessions during a bankruptcy is basically educationally bankrupt. Everyone in a bankruptcy takes concessions. The creditors, the labor, the company. All except for the few with golden parachutes.

I'm glad you're not still putzing around here giving career advice.

But this time I don't disagree at all. Bankruptcy sucks for everyone. The prex kid simply made a poor comparison.
